 The 2013 Alumni Evenings of Theatre were again a great success as more than 300 alumni and guests enjoying an evening of entertainment at UFV's state of the art theatre in Chilliwack on March 21 and 22, 2013.
The UFV Alumni Association was pleased once again to partner with the UFV Theatre department, to invite UFV alumni and their guest to attend the much anticipated Shakespeare production The Merchant of Venice.
The evening included a wine and cheese reception featuring the launch of the 2013 Alumni Commemorative wine, along with the exhibit of Anne Franklin’s (BFA '11) original artwork, which adorns the 2013 Commemorative wine labels. Congratulations to Anne for winning the artist competition for this year's wine labels. See more of Anne's work here.

Find out what your fellow alumni have been up to since graduation. Every couple of weeks we will feature an alumni update from the Spring 2012 issue of the university magazine, Skookum.
 Rob McKinnon, BGS ’87 - Rob graduated from Fraser Valley College with a diploma in Liberal Arts, then SFU with a BA in History and Anthropology, a Public History Certificate, a BC Studies Certificate, and a Teachers' Certificate. He then received a BGS from UCFV and taught in the Adult Ed. Dept. there after working for as a volunteer tutor for five years.
He returned to SFU for his B.Ed., and his M.Ed. Then he went to UBC to do his MA and then PhD in History.
Rob turned to the military as a field engineer, later, a combat engineer. This summer Rob is supposed to be posted to Edmonton where he will retire in another 32 months. He believes the outstanding instructors he had at FVC were the reason he did so well. Thanks Bob, Doug, and Dave!
