Bursaries are funds that are awarded based on financial need. They help students meet the full costs of a university education. UFV has been a strong proponent of bursaries as they make the university more accessible to those who would want to experience higher education but see the expense as a barrier to entry. UFV offers a variety of bursaries to current and incoming students thanks to the generous gifts of donors. Donor recognition and naming opportunities are available depending upon the bursary amount.
